Occupational Health & Safety
ISF’s Safety Action Plan outlines a set of procedures that may require continual updates due to changing conditions and legislation. The plan was designed to cover all facets of Workplace Health & Safety on a client’s site. It is used as a Procedure Manual and a Education / Training Tool to our management, employees, contractors, shareholders and our clients.
Where ISF’s procedures differ from a clients OH&S procedures, ISF employees will follow the clients / sites as preference.
ISF is required to comply with State & Federal Legislation such as:
- Occupational Health & Safety Act 2004
- Crowd Control Code of Practice
- Workplace Health & Safety Regulations 1997
- Local Council & Work Cover Victoria Act 1996
- Australian Standards
- Other Health & Safety Acts that may be relevant to a particular site.

ISF’s policy statement focuses on the allocation of functions and responsibilities:
- Commitment to the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment
- The integration of that commitment into all functions and services
- A commitment to set down the functions and duties of all management and staff members for maintaining workplace health and safety
- Accountability of all levels of Victorian Security Force management for
implementing health and safety practices and procedures
- The importance of consultation and co-operation with our client’s representatives, International Security Force management and staff for effective
translation of policy objectives into action
- Training in, and communication of health and safety practices and procedures
- Commitment to regular monitoring and review of the policy and its
effectiveness
